Future proofed Upgrade paths
As well as building new homes with aspirational environmental credentials we need to address existing housing stock. In order not to add to the problem, ruralZED™ was designed to be upgraded after completion if required. Unlike many CFSH homes, which are designed to meet the current required levels of the code the ruralZED™ system was designed to meet level 6 of the code for sustainable homes from the outset. This means that any ruralZED™ built to meet less than level 6 is a de-specified version of a code 6 home. Extras can be added in the future to lift, for example, a code 3 house up to a code 6 as required.
